The M.S. in Education with a specialization in Reading Education focuses on the areas of literacy and language arts. This specialization helps provide educators with the skills to develop curriculum, and assess, evaluate, and instruct students in reading. Course content is research-based and infuses scientifically-based evidence of best practices in the science of reading. It is designed to strengthen the relationship between theory and instructional practice, and to deepen professional knowledge and skills to provide effective literacy instruction for all students.

Entrance Requirement
  • Complete the admission application packet and submit a $50.00 non-refundable fee (U.S. dollars) made payable to Nova Southeastern University (NSU).
  • Official transcript indicating conferral of a bachelor’s degree by a regionally accredited institution (2.5 minimum cumulative grade-point average required).
  • Official transcripts from all previously attended postsecondary institutions.
Convenient Delivery Options

Coursework for the Master of Science degree in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology (CIT) is conducted entirely online. Courses are offered in eight week terms with two terms each semester. It is possible to complete the course work for the MS in Education with an emphasis in CIT in one or two years.
